CAST MEMBERS

PATRICK ANTHONY* (Bill: The Rehearsal; Worker: Waitress ) began his acting career in commercials. Shortly after, his break was a starring role in the Oscar nominated movie “Stand and Deliver.” Recent TV:  “Matlock” and “I Think You Should Leave.” LA Stage: Jack Snowden in Network, Hannibal in The Curious Savage, Sergeant Penny in Murder After Hours and Mr. De Pinna in You Can’t Take It With You. Member: TV Academy, SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity.

 

LEAH BASS* (Pat: Teaching Improv; Director: Actawr-Directawr) ): Leah has had lead roles in Ain’t Misbehavin’; Little Shop of Horrors; Carmen Jones; A My Name is Alice; For Colored Girls Who’ve Considered Suicide…; Old Broads Can’t Dunk; Champ & His Four Women.  Other credits include Broadway, national and international tours as a dancer/singer/ and actress in The Tap Dance Kid; Guys and Dolls; Arms Too Short To Box With God; Black Nativity; Chicago; The Wiz.

BRAD C. CARTER (Elliott; Reviewer: Seeing The Star; Customer: Waitress;Wingfield: Unseen Characters;): Brad has been in numerous stage productions including Rough Crossing; Godspell; Bye, Bye Birdie; South Pacific; Man of La Mancha; Gypsy; The Farmington Armada and Through the Fire. Brad has also been in numerous short films as well as the feature film The Way of War where he worked with Cuba Gooding Jr. Brad has also recently recorded three voiceover spots for the mayonnaise brand Blue Plate.

LANA FORD (Amanda;Meryl: Seeing The Star; Brenda: Waitress) A Los Angeles based actress from Alabama, Lana is excited to reunite with Playwright/Producer Art Shulman and Director Stan Mazin whom she met and worked with at the Lonny Chapman Theatre. Productions include Unity; Boxcar and Eugenia; The Tooth Fairy; A Nice Family Gathering. She created a short film, “I’m Emily Blunt! On a Smaller Budget” and booked roles in ANGEL (BET) and horror film “The Hermit” starring Lou Ferrigno.

ROBERT MICHAEL GRANT (Scene Partner; Courtney: Seeing The Star; Playwright:): Robert has been in several theater productions, including the lead in Whoopsie Doopsie!; Hiking with Beatrice; and a supporting role in The Strangest Kind of Romance. Robert has also been in feature films, including Ridesharing; Siblings; and Talk To The Hands.

 

 

JOAN KUBICEK (Theatergoer B; Kimberly: My Newest Challenge; Barbara: They Hate Me; Actor: Actawr-Directawr) Joan is a proud member of the NEO Ensemble Theatre, and appeared in several of their works, including I’ll Be With You Shortly, Representative Misbehavior, and Airport Encounters. She’s also performed in short plays with the Above the Curve Theatre, attempted multiple characters for a Torrance Theatre production, and did a Zoom show for the Kentwood Players Virtual Theater Series. VO-wise, she’s worked for NatGeo, Saks+Vogue, Hunters Entertainment, and The Truth: Anti-Juul campaign.


KEVIN McKIM (The Writer My Newest Challenge): Stage credits include Oh, Dreidel; Steve’s Christmas; I Got Troubles; The Odd Couple; Lures; My Client’s a Lunatic; The Last Sacrament of Belle; The Viewing; LuAnn Hampton Laverty Oberlander; amongst others. He was the sketch director of the comedy group Brain Surgery that preformed regularly at ‘The Comedy Store’, has appeared in various indie films and commercials, and produced and acted in the multi-nominated shorts “Durban Poison” and “In Pieces”.

 

LAUREN SIMON (Artistic Director; Augusta: The Rehearsal; Producer) Most recently, appeared in Shelton. Lauren’s career spans The Women and Three Penny Opera at New Orleans Repertory Theatre, Electra, Little Murders, Othello, Marat/Sade, Play It Again Sam, Richard III, and Film and TV in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, New Orleans. A Wellesley College graduate, training includes Lee Strasberg, Mervyn Nelson, Paul Parker, Robert Amico. Member of We Make Movies and Fierce Backbone.


NANCY VAN IDERSTINE (Dana: Teaching Improv; Patty: They Hate Me; Laura: Unseen Characters): Select stage includes: Neo Makes A Scene, Odyssey Theatre; My Scale is Lying to Me, Stella Adler; her solo show 7 Years I Could Have Spent in Vermont, The HBO Workspace; Doubting Thomas, The Secret Rose; Misconceptions, The Group Rep. Film/TV includes: the upcoming Best Man; Holiday Breakup; FBOY; Mama Chu in the animated Little Big Panda; Carla in The Seller; Impostra in the Power Rangers franchise; and her award-winning Helen in Velvet Crush. JERRY WEIL (Our Town Director; Theatergoer A; Steven: They Hate Me; Godot: Unseen Characters): Jerry has appeared in most NEO Ensemble Theatre productions over the past decade including I’ll Be With You Shortly; Dog Door; Representational Misbehavior; Shakespeare in Hollywood. He performed at the Fountain Theatre in the West Coast premiere of If I Forget by Steven Levenson, directed by Jason Alexander. Television: Jimmy Kimmel Live; Elemental; Without A Trace; CSI. J. KENT INASY (Lighting/set design): A multi-award recipient for his work in LA theater, J. Kent has designed shows all across America and Canada. Recent theater credits include Love Again and Tiger By The Tail at the Group Rep, and O’Neill’s Ghost at the Odyssey. As a director of Photography for over thirty years he’s created the lighting for many hit situation comedies, indie features, and commercials. He recently won a Webby award for Best Cinematography for a Sci-Fi fantasy Series.


KRISTINA KRIST (Website design): Cofounder Owner of MyGradebook.com, and web design hobbyist. Homeschool Mom to 4 boys 10 and up, the oldest an actor. Thanks to my Mom, my Grandmother, who told me I could do anything I wanted and my amazing, supportive hubby.
